Views From Our Shoes

Views From Our Shoes is a collection of personal stories from 45 children and teens who have a sibling with a disability. Their experiences cover autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADD and other conditions, helping young readers understand that they are not alone and that other siblings may share similar feelings and challenges.

Why it helps: Views From Our Shoes helps siblings feel seen and less alone. It gives children honest examples of what it can feel like to have a brother or sister with additional needs, while building empathy, understanding and acceptance of different disabilities.
